While the whole world has been mobilized since the first day of the two major earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which caused great destruction in 11 provinces, the help of the health workers working at Ünye State Hospital continues.
From the first day of the devastating earthquakes, health workers from Ünye, as in the rest of the country, urgently delivered the aid packages consisting of food, heating and hygiene materials to the aid trucks organized by the Ordu Provincial Health Directorate to be sent to the earthquake area. On the one hand, UMKE and 112 plantings were sent to the region. Finally, hospital staff delivered the cash aid they collected among themselves to the Unye Chamber of Commerce and Industry to be used for the shelter needs of those affected by the earthquake.
Ünye Chamber of Commerce and Industry President İrfan Akar visited Ünye State Hospital Chief Physician Op.Dr.Ahmet Ateş for the cash donation and thanked all recommended staff for their support.
Unye State Hospital Chief Physician Op.Dr.Ahmet Ateş said, “We feel the pain of this great disaster we experienced in our hearts,” and said, “As health workers, under the leadership of our Ordu Provincial Health Directorate, we have primarily focused on meeting urgent needs from the first day of the earthquake and sent food, clothing and hygiene materials to the disaster area. Our Ministry assigned UMKE, 112 and other health personnel to the earthquake zone. Finally, our healthcare workers delivered their cash aid to the Unye Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the purpose of supplying tents to the region, as well as their assistance to various organizations. As health workers, we will continue to support the aid mobilization, which was started from the first day, in order to re-develop the region and help the earthquake victims heal their wounds as soon as possible. I would like to thank all our employees who helped the disaster area. I wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives in the earthquake, patience for their relatives and a speedy recovery to all our injured people."
